Karma is the main law governing life in our solar system. By the functioning of that law every thought, every action, sets into motion a cause or causes. The effects stemming from these causes make our lives for good or ill.
Karma is not the carrying out of the command of God: “An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.” That is the law of karma put in the most negative way, the way of the past. God, or what we call God – whether that be the God of our planet, the Heavenly Man, or the God of our solar system, the Solar Logos – is essentially good. That goodness pervades every aspect of karma even if we feel it to be negative and painful in the extreme. It is aiming at the establishment of harmony and equilibrium – above all equilibrium – where the energies are balanced in exact degree to the causes which set them in motion.
