Teaching by Example

Nothing achieves powerful educational impact more truly, more immediately, than example.

If you can show by example the qualities that you are talking about – the nature of light, of life, and so on, then you are well placed to teach. If you are actually living it, you will demonstrate it.

If you have the true instructor, the really great teacher, it is not a question of imitating but thinking as he (or she) thinks, looking at life in a new, awakened way which he has given you. You are shown that it is possible by his demonstrating its nature. That is the beauty of it. It is not just the words, but the nature of the life.
